Wales College Secondary School’s first priority is the health and safety of our students. As our continuous efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, we are obligated to follow the regulations and recommendations of various authorities, including the Government of Canada, provincial and local public health authorities, and the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Until the end of 2020, Wales College Secondary School’s all courses are delivered on-line and the School will continue to employ online teaching whenever possible. For new semesters in 2021, international students must check the The Government of Canada’s website before plan trips to Canada. The Government of Canada has put in place an emergency order under the Quarantine Act. It applies to all travellers arriving in Canada. Its purpose is to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Canada. Failure to comply with this order is an offence under the Quarantine Act., including up to 6 months in prison and/or $750,000 in fines.

Any international students whose Study Permit has been approved must contact our school at least ONE MONTH before your planned departure date to Canada. Our school will explain your Pre-Arrival Requirements， Requirements When Travelling, 14-day Quarantine Requirements, your COVID-19 test requirements, and Post-Quarantine Requirements in your mother language and English.

For new semesters in 2021, Wales College Secondary School will employ measures using the following principles:

- Remote Learning – Currently, the School’s all courses are delivered on-line and the School will continue to employ online teaching whenever possible. 在线学习。

Students are encouraged to check Ontario Government’s guidelines of Covid-19 at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/index.html for latest updates and measures. If students feel unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19, they should not attend school and should go to a primary care provider or assessment centre for testing (the use of a mask is not an acceptable alternative).
